Terms of use
These terms cover your use of Press Golf ("Press"), the app on Google Play and the App Store. By using Press you agree to them.
What Press is
Press keeps score and works out who owes whom in golf games between friends. No money moves through Press. It records the stakes the players agree and the settlement those stakes produce. You're responsible for following the laws where you play, including any on wagering.
Distances and advice
Yardages, hole maps, hazard notes and club suggestions are estimates, from course maps that may be incomplete or wrong. Check before relying on them, and follow your club's local rules on distance-measuring devices. Advice on where to aim is shown only in practice rounds and when looking a course over, because the Rules of Golf don't allow it in a counted round.
Your account and content
- Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what's done with your account.
- What you enter stays yours. You let Press store it and show it to the people you share it with, so the app can work.
- Don't use Press to harass anyone, or to enter information about people that they wouldn't want there.
- You can delete your account at any time (how). Press may close an account that breaks these terms.
Maps and map data
Press includes Google Maps features and content on Android. Use of them is subject to the then-current Google Maps / Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. On iPhone, maps are provided by Apple.
Course maps imported from OpenStreetMap are © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License.
No warranty
Press is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Press's developer isn't liable for any loss from using it, including a bet settled on a wrong score or a distance that was off.
Changes
When these terms change, the date at the top changes too. For a significant change, account holders are told by email before it applies.
